Friday, a Blasting Good Time: Toronto Blue Jays vs. New York Yankees

It was a good time. Yelling and screaming to

“Blue…take it home!”

When Blue is at third base.

Booing the other team for doing something that’s in my POV or booing them to get off the first base.

It brings back memories of me playing baseball in elementary school. It was a good time too. The rules of the game, what makes a foul, what is a Ball, and also what makes a strike.

I was sure that I could tell which ones was it, but I forgot how it goes or maybe the rules have changed. One is school baseball and the other is professional.

I remember in grade 6, my first hit gave me a home run. When I was angry, I’d hit a home run and when I wasn’t, I missed.

Did video cameras exist in 1982? Someone (family or friends) could have taped me doing a home run on the first hit. It would have been something worth seeing decades later and into retirement. What got me to remember this part of my life was when one of the players hit a home run with one shot…that’s what triggered these memories. Nice memories.

I would like the Jays to win and I hope that their recent game losses doesn’t mean they’ll be kicked out of nationals, finals, etc. (i.e. competing with other countries–i.e. if there is such as thing as there is in hockey).

They’re still winners to me. They are my home team. Maybe what they need is for the fans to be much more encouraging. Saying things like

“[on the board – not from individuals]If they Jays don’t win it would be a shame”.

Shame is a negative, awful, word. Why not just cheer them on even when they are having a losing streak! You betcha I was like that all tonight.

Memories from tonight. Camera doesn’t have video zoom capabilities.
