Weekly Goals: Sunday, August 18 to Saturday August 25

I’m fine with not making this week’s goals in total METs h/w and total calorie burned.

I meditated to Tai Chi music which helped me to relax and then I attempted Jillian Michaels “Banish Fat Boost Metabolism” for a second time – 1 minute longer burning 120 calories more. Wow! Just a difference of 1 minute and burning an extra 120 calories. See post Weekly Goals: Sunday June 17 to Saturday June 22, 2012.

I can only conclude that now that I have lost a lot of weight, burning calories will be much easier. I remember before Christmas 2011, I was on the treadmill for 1 hour and the only area of my body that was sweating was the armpits!

I am so arriving to a good place in my life now. Burning lots of calories in less time. Eating foods with very little fat. Increasing protein and calcium in my diet. And now changing up the exercise plan – whatever it takes to bring the physiological stress way down.

25 minutes of Jillian’s workout has lessened the sensations and tightness I feel from the lumbar area of my spin and upwards.

Exercise plateaus are not helpful in lowering stress. I’m getting it now what I have to do even if I cringe doing Jillian’s exercise routine.  Part of her exercise routine in aerobics included Burpees. I didn’t do it. I tried it before the video and I’m not flexible, yet, to do it. One day I will be. Until then, the things I can’t do during Jillian’s workout, I will do the punches. Great to let off a lot of steam, isn’t it! Yes!
