The Surprise, Good News and the Journey Continued

I did it again! Lost 14 pounds in 3 months. That’s about 1 pound a week! I didn’t skip meals and I didn’t even stick to 10 METS h/w.

My family doctor is worried that I’ll become anorexic. I’ve lost a lot of weight in a short time. The first time I lost weight and the inspiration for this blog, it took 7.5 months to lose 55.6 pounds! That’s a lot of weight lost and about 2 pounds a week through cutting sweets from the diet, eating a balanced diet, and brisk walking 10 hours each week.

I don’t believe I’ll ever be anorexic and you know why? I love food and I like it in variety!

I also want to keep up with the exercise routine, i.e. at least 5 hours a week. Sometimes lately I’ve been pushing to 8.5 hours a week. Sometimes on the treadmill, but mostly brisk walking outdoors. In the frigid weather, no less! That’s okay because I have plenty of knitted sweaters that my mother made.

I can’t imagine spending weeks and the following years without aerobic exercise. At least daily and if I skip a day or two, to double the time the following day. That’s okay. I don’t feel exhausted, but I do feel that it would have been better to not skip more than one day between workouts.

I would like to credit that since I have moved away from the home where there was major stress for me for all my life, that my weight is what it is now because under normal circumstances, living in a normal environment as I am now, this is who I was meant to be: just enough fat on my body, very slim and engaged in fitness regularly.

By the way, I cut my hair. It looks nice, no? I’ve been cutting my hair since the beginning of last year. That’s $60 that I save for myself every other month.

Spring is coming slowly here. I look forward to driving down to the waterfront for some R&R.

Take care and good health to all of you!
